Jim runs a modest Hainanese chicken rice diner and leads an ordinary life. However, one unexpected encounter changes everything. It happens when a tipsy Wen stays past closing time and converses with Jim. Despite their different backgrounds, the two share a natural connection that sparks something intangible between them. In the days following their meeting, Jim and Wen can't stop thinking about each other. Despite Jim's attempts to remain emotionally detached, his feelings for Wen grow stronger. Meanwhile, Jim's nephews Li Ming and Saleng and the occasional chicken supplier Kaipa work alongside him at the diner. Despite his busy schedule, Kaipa doesn't mind stopping by the diner to catch a glimpse of Jim. While Jim tries to keep his emotions in check, fate seems to have other plans for him and Wen.
